Programmes

Overview

Programmes are the foundation of Eagle Eye Gifting & Top-up and hold the business rules and configuration for a gift programme and the stored value accounts it generates, allowing a retailer to specify the monetary value that a gift voucher can have.

A stored-value account, regardless of type, will be linked to a programme which will control how Accounts can be created, what value they will be and subsequently where they can be used. These stored value accounts can be fixed or variable value gift vouchers, or a debit account that can be topped up when the balance reaches a threshold.

There are 3 types of Programmes across both Physical and Digital channels that can be set up within AIR:

  • Voucher - This is used for fixed or ad hoc value gift vouchers. These could be purchased from a website and sent as an email. e.g. A customer visits your website and selects the value of an eGift voucher to be sent by email as a birthday gift. The sale is completed, and the gift voucher using the relevant template is sent.
  • Plastic - This is used for fixed-value physical gift cards that can have the value pre-loaded or loaded at the POS. e.g. The customer selects a plastic gift card from a store. During checkout, the stored value is loaded onto the card. The card can now be used as ‘cash’ within your stores.
  • Debit - This is used for payment accounts whereby a value can be topped up. Most often used in apps. e.g. A customer uses the app to pay for items in-store. The app contains a debit account where funds can be loaded, spent, and topped up when the balance is low.

Programmes can only be created and managed via AIR dashboard.
