Overview

This documentation will cover the qualification and reward standards for campaigns that issue a discount as a reward, with use cases. Most campaigns will allow qualification by location, tender type and identity type. The table below highlights specific differences between the various types of campaigns.

Along with the reward specified above, once the campaign's qualification is met, an optional bounce back can also be awarded, issuing a coupon account to the wallet.

Discount Basket

A fixed amount or percent reward when customer spends a certain amount on their total purchase, with a spend qualification of either a basket amount or purchase amount for a specific product list.

Discount Basket - Basket Qualification - Fixed Discount

• offerType: FIXED_AMOUNT_OFF_BASKET
• Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
• Reward: A fixed amount in the lowest form of currency (example: pence or cent)
• Example: Spend $30 on your basket, get $5 off

Discount Basket - Product Qualification - Fixed Discount

• offerType: FIXED_AMOUNT_OFF_BASKET
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed amount in the lowest form of currency (example: pence or cent)
• Example: Spend $3 on fruit, get $0.50 off

Discount Basket - Basket Qualification - Percentage

• offerType: FIXED_PERCENTAGE_OFF_BASKET
• Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
• Reward: A percent off the basket total
• Example: Spend $100 on your basket, get 5% off

Discount Basket - Product Qualification - Percentage

• offerType: FIXED_PERCENTAGE_OFF_BASKET
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A percent off the basket total
• Example: Spend $25 on meat, get 10% off your basket

Discount Products

A variable points reward offer based on basket spend or a spend qualification of products; if the qualification criteria for this offer is met, then the amount of points earned in a transaction will be multiplied by the reward amount entered.

Discount Products - Free Product

This offer type will reward the customer with a free product(s)

• offerType: VARIABLE_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A free product, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get 1 free loaf of bread

Discount Products - Fixed Discount Amount

• offerType: FIXED_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed discount amount, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get $1.50 off when you buy 5 cans of tomato sauce

Discount Products - Fixed Price

• offerType: VARIABLE_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed price amount, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get Fabulous Retailer sliced white bread for $1.99

Discount Products - Percent Off

• offerType: FIXED_PERCENTAGE_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed percent off amount, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get 10% off when you buy 1 watermelon

Discount Products - Product Spend Tier Fixed Discount Amount

• offerType: VARIABLE_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A tiered approach to fixed discount amount where the amount off is based on the units purchased. Multiple discount amount tiers can be added to a single campaign.
• Example:
  • Buy 1-3 apples, get 50 cents off
  • Buy 4-6 apples, get $1 off
  • Buy 7-10 apples, get $1.50 off
  • Buy 11-20 apples, get $2 off

Discount Products - Variable Amount Off Units Purchased

• offerType: VARIABLE_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A variable discount amount calculated based on the number of units purchased. A minimum product quantity and a step variable is set in the campaign, along with a cap on the max number of products that can get the reward.
• Example: Starting with a minimum of 2 Fabulous Retailer men's ties, for every 2 ties purchased (up to 10), get $10 off

Discount Products - Variable Percent Off Units Purchased

• offerType: VARIABLE_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A variable discount percentage off calculated based on the number of units purchased. A minimum product quantity and a step variable is set in the campaign, along with a cap on the max number of products that can get the reward.
• Example: Starting with a minimum of 3 Fabulous Retailer woman's skirts, for every 3 skirts purchased (up to 9), get 15% off the skirts

Combo Promotion

The Combo Promotion campaign type allows customers to get a free, fixed discount, fixed price or percent off a product when a basket amount is spent or a product unit and spend minimum is met. Unlike the Discount Products campaign type, Combo Promotion can allow for a separate product or list of products to be selected for the qualification versus the reward. The offer can be setup to allow for the purchase of a product to be the qualification and have the reward applied to a different product.

Combo Promotion - Basket Qualification - Free Product

• offerType: FREE_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
• Reward: A free product, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get 1 free gallon of water when you spend $20 or more on your basket

Combo Promotion - Basket Qualification - Fixed Discount

• offerType: FIXED_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
• Reward: A fixed discount amount, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get $5 off a Fabulous Retailer sweater when you spend $50 or more on your basket

Combo Promotion - Basket Qualification - Fixed Price

• offerType: FIXED_PRICE_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
• Reward: A fixed price amount, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get a six pack of 1L sparkling water bottles for $4 when you spend $25 or more on your basket

Combo Promotion - Basket Qualification - Percent Off

• offerType: FIXED_PERCENTAGE_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
• Reward: A fixed percent off amount, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get 10% off fur coats at Fabulous Retailer when you spend $250 or more on your basket

Combo Promotion - Product Qualification - Free Product

• offerType: FREE_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A free product, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get 1 free bag of rice when you buy 3 bottles of soy sauce for $12 or more

Combo Promotion - Product Qualification - Fixed Discount

• offerType: FIXED_AMOUNT_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed discount amount for a product or list of products, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get $1.50 off 2 bottles of ketchup when you buy 2 bottles of mustard

Combo Promotion - Product Qualification - Fixed Price

• offerType: FIXED_PRICE_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed price for a product or list of products, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get Fabulous Retailer bagels for $3.99 when you buy 1 plain cream cheese tub

Combo Promotion - Product Qualification - Percent Off

• offerType: FIXED_PERCENTAGE_OFF_PRODUCTS
• Qualification: A list of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount
• Reward: A fixed percent off amount for a product or list of products, along with the maximum number of units the reward can apply to
• Example: Get 10% off grapes when you buy 2 bottles of red wine

Meal Deal

Where Combo Promotions offer an or on product qualification lists, the Meal Deal campaign type allows for one or more product lists to be set, where the customer will only qualify for the reward when the minimum units and spend is met for each product list setup. Once all qualifying products are purchased in the same transaction, a reward of a fixed price or fixed discount can be applied.

Meal Deal - Fixed Discount

• offerType: MEAL_DEAL
• Qualification: One or more lists of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount. When multiple product lists are created, the minimum spend and units must be purchased from all lists.
• Reward: A fixed discount amount
• Example: Buy a deli sandwich for at least $5.50, a soft drink for $1.50 or more and a bag of chips for $1.00 or more and get $2.00 off the entire purchase

Meal Deal - Fixed Price

• offerType: MEAL_DEAL
• Qualification: One or more lists of products or groups of products, along with the minimum number of units to purchase and minimum spend amount. When multiple product lists are created, the minimum spend and units must be purchased from all lists.
• Reward: A fixed price for the products purchased
• Example: Buy a deli sandwich for at least $5.50, a soft drink for $1.50 or more and a bag of chips for $1.00 or more and get the entire purchase for $6
