Campaign Features

When creating campaigns in the AIR dashboard, there are many out of the box features available. Below is a break down of what you can configure on each area of the campaign:

General

  • Ability to name and describe the campaign
  • Set the dates of when the campaign starts and end
  • Determine if the campaign is open to all loyalty customers or targeted to a specific audience
  • Ability to enable account override, allowing you to override campaign values when creating coupon accounts, such as coupon account start and end dates, qualification minimum spend and units or reward values
  • Global Product Restrictions can be enabled per campaign to apply restrictions to specific products which then apply to all promotions by default e.g. gift cards cannot be discounted
  • Campaign Tags:
    • Tags can be added during campaign create or editing an existing campaign
    • Organization and Filtering: Campaign tags allow you to group campaigns by specific attributes, making it easier to filter and manage them. For instance, you can set up tags like "holiday2025" or "springSale" to quickly view all campaigns related to these segments.
    • For allocating accounts in a wallet, a campaign tag can be used to create coupons for a group of campaigns instead of adding individual campaigns one-by-one. For example, a campaign tag of "welcomeOffers" can be added to campaign Ids 10001, 10002 and 10003. As the welcomeOffers need to change, tags can easily be added or removed from campaigns, such as removing it from campaign Id 10003 and adding to campaign Id 10005.
  • Optional: Specify budgeting accounts for the campaign. For example, if the Purple Soda Company funded a promotion, a specific budget can be associated to the campaign. See Promotion Budgets for more details.

Creation

  • Set coupon account start rules:
    • Account start date is immediate upon creation, or
    • A fixed date that is equal to or after than the campaign start date, or
    • A set number of days or hours after the account create date
  • Set coupon account expiry rules:
    • Account expiry is the same as the campaign end date, or
    • A fixed date that is equal to or prior than the campaign end date, or
    • A set number of days or hours after the account create date, or
    • An expiry period, such as the end of the current month or year
  • Set issuance and consumer limits:
    • Issuance Limit determines the total count of coupon accounts can be created from the campaign before the campaign updates to Suspended status.
    • Consumer Limit determines how many coupon accounts instances of the campaign a given wallet can have
    • Consumer Limit Active is a value that will set the maximum number of coupon accounts with an Active status can be in a given wallet at once
  • Set specific banners (brands) as issuance and redemption partners:
    • Issuance partners are banners that can be set to issue promotional coupons on behalf of a retailer or merchant. For example, issuance partners can be set to issue paper coupons when the issuance qualification is met.
    • Redemption partners are banners that the customer can redeem the coupon account at reward qualification is met.
  • Ability to set lock to allow multiple consumers to redeem a promotion simultaneously or not
  • To make a coupon account refundable, the refundable flag can be enabled
  • An unredeemable flag can be set to allow a coupon account to be changed from Used status to Active when a refund is processed

Issuance Qualification

  • Set basket or product qualification for paper coupons to print
  • Create store inclusion/exclusion list by store number, group or tag

Qualification

  • Set basket or product qualification for customers to receive the reward
    • Product inclusion/exclusion by upc/sku group or tag
  • Store inclusion/exclusion by store number, group or tag
  • In cases where inclusion and exclusion values are provided, exclusion values wins
    • Applies to store and product inclusion/exclusion
    • For example, if bananas (upc 4011) was added in the product inclusion list and product exclusion list, bananas would be excluded from qualification
  • Set redemption channel (in-store, eCommerce, etc) to select channel qualifications, such as making the campaign applicable online only or in-store only
  • Introduce Consumer Segments to limit qualification to a particular demographic
  • Select specific Identity types that will qualify for the reward
  • Limit the qualification to specific tenders such as a debit or credit card

Reward

  • Allocate the points, discount amount or coupon as the reward
  • Set tender coupon to be applied towards payment of a transaction or a discount
  • Set redemption limits or an account
  • Add between one and twenty bounce back campaigns to create new accounts upon redemption

Custom Forms & Distribution Channels

Custom forms allow clients to attach custom data to pre-configured objects within a campaign. These forms can capture a wide variety of data required for the campaign's operation and are customizable based on your needs. The information provide in these forms can be used downstream to display details in digital channels, reporting or analytics.

  • Purpose: Custom forms are used to gather additional information that is not standard in the product object but is crucial for the client's campaign requirements
  • Configuration: Users can define various fields, such as text entries, checkboxes, or dropdowns, specifying validation criteria and other properties for each field with the help of Eagle Eye
  • Usage: The data captured through these forms can be customized to account for different languages across the banner's geography, promotional rules, and specific client requirements

Distribution channels ensure that the campaign's promotional details and any additional data are shared with issuance partners or displayed through third-party platforms.

  • Purpose: Distribution channels capture and structure data in a manner that can be utilized by a third party, such as an issuing partner, to display campaign information on websites, mobile app, receipts, or other media
  • Configuration: These forms define all fields required for data capture
  • Usage: The fields from the form can be filled out based on the campaign's needs., allowing the captured data can then be sent to partners through API calls

Campaign Type Management

There are many different types of campaigns available in AIR with out of the box features enabled for configuration when a campaign is created. The default configuration of campaign types works well for most clients, but it is flexible enough to be updated as needed for more specific use cases.
