Basket Spend Points Variable
A variable points campaign where consumers earn points based on the total amount they spend in their shopping basket. An interval (or step) is used to determine the total points awarded.
- offerType: VARIABLE_POINTS_BASKET
- Qualification: The consumer must spend a certain minimum amount in their basket to qualify for points. This minimum spend is set in the campaign's qualification criteria.
- Reward: Once the minimum spend is met, the points awarded are calculated based on the total basket spend. The points can increase in intervals as the basket spend increases.
- Example: Get 100 points for every $25 spent on your basket. A $125 basket would reward the customer with 500 points.
Product Spend Points Variable
A variable points campaign where consumers earn points based on the amount they spend on specific products. The reward in this campaign is variable, meaning the number of points awarded increases with the amount spent over a specified minimum threshold.

- Example: Buy 3 bags of crackers and for every $10 spent get 200 points
Tiered Spend for Points
With either the basket or a product list as the qualification, the Tiered Spend for Points allows for multiple minimum and maximum purchase qualifying amounts to be set, awarding a variable amount of points. The amount of points earned is fixed per tier level.
Tiered Spend for Points - Basket Qualification
- offerType: VARIABLE_POINTS_BASKET
- Qualification: A minimum basket qualifying spend amount
- Reward: Once the minimum spend is met, the points awarded are calculated based on the total spend within each tier. The points increase as the consumer's spend moves into higher tiers.
- Example: Spend between $25 and $49.99 and get 100 points; spend between $50 and $99.99 and get 250 points; spend between $100 and $149.99 and get 500 points; spend between $150 and $249.99 and get 1,000 points.
Tiered Spend for Points - Product Qualification

- Reward: A different fixed amount of points depending on which tier the total qualifying product spend falls within. The more the customer spends, the more points they will be rewarded.
- Example: Spend between $50 and $99.99 on cosmetics and get 1,000 points; spend between $100 and $149.99 on cosmetics and get 2,000 points; spend $150 or more on cosmetics and get 5,000 points.
Continuity
For Continuity campaigns, along with setting the reward qualification of either Transactions, Spend or Units, an additional optional qualification can be set: Individual Transaction Qualification. Individual Transaction Qualification allows users to set a basket or product level qualification to determine if a transaction can be counted towards one of the qualifying Transactions, Spend or Units. For example a Continuity can have a Transaction qualification of 3 along with Individual Transaction Qualification of a minimum $20.00 basket spend. A transaction with a $15.50 basket spend would not qualify as a transaction towards the reward for this campaign.
