Issuance Logic

Item

Description

Known Customers

For known customers, the API will allow for an identity to be passed alongside store, basket and POS reference data. All allocated offers will then be placed in the corresponding wallet. A token is still generated so that it can be presented on the receipt if required.

Coupons created will then be passed back to the POS or receipt marketing tool (such as Ecrebo or Catalina) to then be printed on the receipt.

Unknown Customers

For unknown customers only the store information and basket will be passed to AIR. Coupons will be created outside of a wallet with a token which can then be printed on the receipt.

Coupon Issuance Mechanics

Item

Description

Recommendations

Allows retailers to target a specific consumer with a more personalised offer.

This works by looking at a given channel that the recommendations are targeted and then picking the top X number of them to print, at this point the recommendation gets accepted and an account in the wallet is created.

Stamp Card

Allows retailers to leverage the existing stamp card mechanism to specify a set number of rewards in a set order that will be printed onto a receipt as they meet the specified qualification criteria. If the consumer doesn’t have any stamp cards in their wallet, it will find one that matches (qualifying spend and location) and create it in your wallet and stamp it the first time.

If you wanted to do this it is important to filter out accounts of type stamp card from POS Connect adjudication or you will get twice the rewards!

Issuance Qualification

Support for all Loyalty & Discount offer types can be configured with the additional Message at Till Issuance qualification criteria of:

  • Location for example you have to be in Guildford to get this coupon.
  • Spend for example you have to spend over £50 to get this coupon.
  • Products for example you have to buy a ready meal to get this coupon.

Campaign Tags

Ability to randomly allocate a set number of offers from a selected campaign tag. Tags are added during campaign creation to create a “pool” the allocation engine will select from.
